Just to add to what Bob wrote, Karaca Arboretum is the only 'true' arboretum in
Turkey. They have a rich collection of plants. Access is very easy from Istanbul:
1 hour of frequent sea bus + 15 mn of minibus.
Phone nb is 90 226 8337767, ask for Mr. Omer or Mrs. Habibe, both very kind and
knowledgeable persons.
