Trees in Coronado, San Diego

I was hoping someone local in San Diego/Coronado could
help me with some questions I have on suitability of
several possible trees for a waterfront project on the
bayside of Coronado. I was wondering if Eucalyptus
polyanthemos is impacted by the psyllid and/or
longhorn beetle in irrigated landscape situations
there in Coronado? Also, is Ficus religiosa a
reliable performing tree in sunset zone 24? And, is
Chorisia speciosa dioecious, or do all trees set seed?
I had always assumed that all Chorisia trees do set
seed under ideal conditions, and there is concern that
this could be a potential liability. Do the grafted
hybrids not set seed? I've never seen one with seed
here in the San Francisco Bay Area, so wasn't sure if
they do. Also, we are considering planting some Royal
Palms, Roystonea regia in this project, or King Palms
as a fall back. I've seen Royal Palms in Los Angeles,
but not familiar with any in Coronado, or coastal San
Diego city. And this one is way out there, but the
heat today is making me feel tropical; has anyone ever
seen or grown Indian Almond, Terminalia cattapa in San
Diego? It seems to me that it ought to be able to be
grown there. Also, the same question for Tabebuia
chrysotricha, Bauhinia purpurea or B. blakeana, do
these bloom well in Sunset zone 24/beach conditions?
I know these all do beautifully in more inland
conditions, but how about within site of saltwater?
The conditions at this site are actually rather
sheltered from strong daily winds, so this shouldn't
be a major constraint, just the cooler general
conditions of being next to San Diego Bay. Any help
with any of these questions would be most appreciated.
