Dear Medit-plant people,
A big thank you to all who came to my aid. I'm sorry if I confused a few of
you with the intent of my query, so I will explain. One of my newsletter
recipients asked how she could attract more bees to her garden since she
hadn't been noticing many the last few years. I didn't ask why she wanted
to attract them, I guessed she was like me and just enjoyed wildlife in the
garden, birds, butterflies, bees, etc.
I thought that maybe the mite infestation had something to do with her lack
of bees. However, since several of you in-the-know pointed out (thank you)
that this infestation only troubles commercial honeybees and is being
controlled, I realize that's not the reason. In any case, I wanted to give
her the names of some plants that are sure-fire bee attractors. And, thanks
to you all, I now can.
Robin Corwin
