Melianthus nectar

Hi all,

My Melianthus major is finally in bloom and is quite impressive. The
flowers are opening and I know that they produce a LOT of nectar (I
tipped a flower and a few drops spilled out. I know that this plant is
toxic, but is the nectar itself toxic?
