Connie:
Ferulas, like most Umbellifers, must be fresh, since they have limited
viability. Some have to be stratified, like Angelicas, and will not
germinate in warm weather. I have been trying to get true (and fresh)
Ferula Assa-foetida seed for years, so let me know if you succeed. Does
anyone have F. galbanum as well?
The best bet for getting fresh seeds of Ferulas may be to cultivate
connections to professional contacts in Pakistan like horticulturalists and
academic botanists.
