Re: Interesting gardens in France and Germany

There is an island in the Lake of Constance between Germany and Switzerland
that a nobleman has turned into a botanical garden of sorts. It's the Island
of
Mainau and is open to the public. Almost every large city in Germany has a
large park and in turn one or the other becomes the site of the annual
Gartenshau
(garden show). Other than Munich's Englischer Garten (English Garden), I
don't
recall the names of any of them. You might contact the German Consul General
in your area, or the German National Tourist Office in New York for more
information.

Gute Reise!
