Moving a palm

Hi all,
      Well be rennovating our house  soon and i need some advice on
Moving a young palm that is within the area that will be built. WHat i
need to know is, do Syagrus romanzoffiana's move easily? And if so,  is
it a good idea to cut the leaves off, or should i just leave them and
keep it well watered?
