planting medium question

bought a beautiful mestoklema tuberosa
and some other cactus and succulents
at the san juan bautista show and sale

was told a mix of 1/2 turface and 1/2 pumice
was a good planting medium for them

does anyone know what turface is
and where would one purchase it?
