Welcome to the list.
The Grannies' Bonnets I mentioned are a form of aquilegia
that I can't find reference to. I have at least six
different aquilegias in the garden. These are some
old-fashioned kind that doesn't seem to be in reference
books. They are similar to Aquilegia vulgaris 'Flore
Pleno'.

I,ve just joined the group from Hawkes Bay in New
Zealand,which is classed a s a medit climate-very hot dry
summers and cold wet winteralternating with cold dry
winters.General question tho -what is a live oak?
Someone talked about colimbines or grannys bonnets we also
call them aquilegias.
