Moira - Many thanks for message. I checked on The Plant Finder after
David Feix had praised this to-me-unknown species earlier - and find
that it's offered in the UK by 'over 30 suppliers' - yet I'd never
heard of it. How I love being ignorant! Always something new to go and
find and plant...
(The Plant Finder has the irritating system of not naming the
nurseries involved if there are more than 30 of them. I can sympathise
with the space-constraints involved in producing such a massive book
covering so many thousands of plants but the result isn't very
helpful. 30 nurseries spread over even as small a country as this one
can still mean that there isn't one with a couple of hundred miles of
where you are which stocks the plant you want. I'd guarantee, for
example, that no nursery in Cumbria stocks H. topiaria - but, darn it,
I'll find one which does!)
