Sounds like fun. I like Kurt's suggestion that we try to limit our lists to
medit plants. Here's my list of favorite genii (genuses?) for today:
Thymus
Cistus
Cotinus
Narcissus
Iris
Quercus
Ceanothus
Clematis
Sisyrinchium
Citrus
And my least favorite list for today (mostly due to overuse):
Agapanthus (at least the common A. orientalis varieties)
Nerium oleander
Juniper
Rhaphiolepsis
Escallonia
Ligustrum
Ailanthus (ugh! yuck! ptooie!)
Trachelospermum
Acacia (at least A. melanoxylen)
Osteospermum
(which pretty much covers commercial planting schemes here in the San
Francisco Bay Area!)
