Re: Median plantings


I forgot to mention, this median gets stepped on by people getting out
of cars (they park on the side of the street, thus people getting out
of the right side of the car would step on the median strip)! So it
needs to be able to stand SOME foot traffic. Anyways, the bromeliads
sound beautiful, i could probably put them in the smallish trapezoid
median plot which is separated from the main median area. Since it
doesn't get stepped on. Right now the best thing i can think of is
grass! It kind of hard to figure out what can go there, since most of
these strips are either dirt, or dead, or dying Kikuyu grass (which
gets lush after winter rains, but is ugly)
