Susan, the black slugs are not our large ones. The really big ones are an
ochre colour, and are called banana slugs, because of the colour and size.
They live in the woods, though, and mostly eat dead stuff. The real
munchers are the wee little black ones that were imported from the UK. They
hunt in multitudes.
