This is very strange. As far as I know the usual method of propagation is to
beg (preferably) or steal (if necesary) a sprig of rosemary and stick it in a
pot or even the ground! I've done both .... I did lose one when I failed to
notice it was in a sprinkler shadow during a hot spell, but it had started to
grow on nicely during the cooler weather. No doubt some protection would help
in the warmer weather until the plant becomes established.
