Compost

To those of you who were interested in composting in Greece,  I have been doing it with cut grass for years, but NOTHING was as good as when we had a horse and I put all the horse manure in my flower beds!  My plants grew to sizes sometimes l 1/2 times larger then what was written on their seed packages. Some of my vegetables were so large I photographed them to prove I was not exaggerating! It was only after I no longer had excess to the horse manure that I realized the difference it made.  Here I have sheep manure available, but it doesn't  seem to do the job as well as the horse manure. If you have a horse stable near by it would be worth the effort of getting the manure.  My horse was bedded down with straw, but usually the stables use saw dust and you would have to take that into consideration.
