Sorry Robert-I got lazy...
For the particular lawn I wrote about, the Chamomile is Chamaemelum nobile (syn.
Anthemis nobilis)and the Yarrow is our native Achillea millefolium.
I guessed that the Chamise folks wrote about was Adenostoma fasciculatum, a
major component of our coastal Chaparral community.

Can someone clarify something for me? I have assumed that, in this
discussion, when you say "yarrow" you are probably talking about Achillea
tomentosa, the Wooly Yarrow. But, what are you talking about, when you say
"Chamomile". There are many plants in at least three genera that have been
called by that name.
The discussion on "greasewood or chamise" was disturbing, in that over the
majority of the western US "Greasewood" = Sarcobatus vermicularis, and
"Chamisa" = Chrysothamnos nauseosus.
