In a message dated 10/4/99 10:28:08 PM Central Daylight Time,
I hear ya'll talk about the wonderful fall colors of the leaves turning and I
think of another place and time as we do not have alot of that here in my
Texas Zone 9....I do have fall color but mine is of a different sort.
My yellows of fall are from the blooms of the brugmansias, daturas and
justicias. The reds are from the hamelia and pine cone shrimp, my oranges
are from the curcuma and costus gingers. I have a few purples and blues
too....seems these plants are blooming just to give me a feeling of being
"cool" here when our days reach 91 degrees.
Happy Gardening
