Re: ALISTER ALISTAIR
Hi everyone
Just want to add to the Alister debate.
We have struggled to find old roses that do really well here, but Alister -
bless her or his heart - just keeps on flowering. All through the autumn,
well into winter - it then takes a break and starts again in early spring
when we have the main flush of flowers. On through the summer she/he
personfully offers flowering trusses. The scent is wonderful and the colour
so definite but delicate. Even my Greek friends want to root pieces to grow
in their gardens. A compliment indeed.
