Hello everyone
Can anyone tell what success they have had with
Clematis. I am exceptionally fond of the small flowered cultivars and
species, but have found that C.viticella etc just will not flower well here.
I have great success with C. maximowitziana which
makes 15ft with countless shoots, and mirriad white starry, fragrant flowers all
through September. C.texensis Gravetye Beauty flowers from May to mid August - I
then cut it down and it flowers again from October until Christmas. C. texensis
duchess of Albany flowers from May through to Christmas without a breather. I
love them all but that would not stop me from growing more.
Can anyone suggest other Clematis that would cope with our dry summer
heat?
