Hi Nan, and all,
I have two ideas:
A crinum species--I don't know the last name but I bet John McGregor could
help out here. It's the big one with the dark burgundy leaves almost year
round, and beautiful pink and white flowers as well. Also there are some
really cool Draecenas with dark burgundy leaves these days. Very
architectural.
I'm interested to see what others suggest because this color scheme is right
up my alley---love the Euphorbia cotinifolia with the Salvia van houtii.
Just placed those two in proximity myself!
Another thought, although depending on where you live not as "year-round",
would be one of the newer Cannas, i.e. "Tropicana" or the one i got recently
from Gary Hammer that I believe is called "Dark Knight" (very dark burgundy
leaves and red flowers)..
Best of luck,
Laura
