I love the Native Rhamnus (californicus?) or Coffee berry, however it
seems to be a very slow growing bush. I have a seedling from last
summer, and it still has just 5 leaves! Anyways, the berries are the
kicker.....if you slightly chew them it the aftertaste you get is just
like coffee! Kind of a slimy texture though. The seeds look like coffee
beans do.
