Hi

My now elderly Dodonea (around 40) has regularly produced seedlings over
the years although the nearest plants of the same species I know of are
a little over a mile away and anyway much younger than mine, so I
presume it must be self-pollinated (maybe from necssity!)

It is much lighter in colour than those youngsters and more a bronze
than their vibrant purple and its seedlings seem to come out a similar
colour.
