Rachel, I cannot see where you are writing from but presume it is
Australia?
I grow about 7 varieties of Eucryphia and I am very happy with all of
them. Most have a very long flowering season, do not take up a great
deal of room either.
The following varieties are obtainable from Woodbank's nursery, Longley,
Tasmania. ken Gilanders found the pink Eucryphia in the wilderness and
has now sent plants all over the world.
These I grow:
E. cordifolia. Chilean, large flowers. Tree
E. glutinosa. Chilean. Deciduous. Shrub. Leaves colour in Autumn
E. lucida. Tassie leatherwood. Fragrant, flowers for long time
E. lucida"Pink Cloud" 2cm pink flowers with small crimson stain in base
E. x intermedia. White flowers beautiful evergreen
E. lucida x E. cordifolia. Large white flowers with purple tipped
stamens
E. milliganii. Native with smaller leaves and flowers
The postal address for Woodbank Nursery is
2040 Huon Rd, Longley
Tasmania, 7150, Australia
Ken has a good catalogue [he grows more varieties of Eucryphia] and a
excellent mail service

I find them easy to grow though our rain fall is quite high. They also
don't seem to mind some shade
