We could use the Sunset Magazine zones instead of the USDA zones in our
postings. There are 24 zones, maritime and continental, really quite specific in
their descriptions. I haven't been able to find them posted on the internet, but
I'd be willing to type brief descriptions of the zones for the list's use - oh,
I suppose that would violate copyright law. Do you think? Or - if you posted a
description of your climate, and I sent in a comment that your climate sounded
just like Sunset zone so-and-so, and others interested in climate saved the
emails, they could accumulate a useful file of zone descriptions.
