For the OK stuff and average prices try one of the Mahoney's Garden Centers
(889 Memorial Drive in Cambridge or 242 Cambridge St. in Winchester) or New
England Nurseries at 216 Concord Rd in Bedford. My favorite, really terrific
nursery is Blanchette Gardens at 267 Rutland St. in Carlisle, but their
prices are not low, plants are rather small and the selection might be
overwhelming for the beginner. Hope it helps but your sister can email me
privately if she wants more specific help. Sophie
