Well, I will be interested to see if this keeps working. I sort of
did that at first - major brush pile type fence and they sailed right
over it. Maybe yours looks more solid to them than mine did.
I'm with you re: the damage done by deer being much worse than any
"invasive" plant. It's pretty well documented now that deer are
destroying our woodlands. Now groundhogs (woodchucks) can do some
damage, but aren't even a close second to deer around here.
