Hi Carolann,
I don't know about boiling water, but I do know that if you apply a
product such as "Round-Up" in the FALL on your quack grass, you will
have more success in fighting it. The reason behind this is in the
fall, the quackgrass is sending all it's food to the roots, to keep it
alive during the dormant season. When you apply the round up type
product at that time, it is sure to get to the roots.
