Some other verbascum I tried last year and
loved were Verbascum chiaxiatii (sp?) white
with pink eye and another yellow with red eye.
This year I ordered salmon colored ones and oh
dear I can't remember the name. I will look for
anyone interested.

Ditto on the Verbascums! I have grown V.
'Southern Charm' for a number of
years and only wish it would multiply faster. I
did add some gravel when I
first planted it. Also just bought V.
phoeniceum. Grows 2-5 feet in full
sun and has spikes of purple to red flowers.
Sounds wonderful, doesn't it?
Went to my favorite nursery and bought way
too many plants. Astilbe that
grows to 4 feet! Variegated this and that. I
found a variegated campanula
that is probably a sport, but is really neat.
Some aquileqia that is
chartreuse and definitely mismarked--can't wait
to see what it does. I
admit it, I went totally overboard and I needed
every one of those plants!
Not to mention what is growing under lights.
