Snow and hail yesterday and today it's gorgeous.
I was given a cutting of a groundcover by a favorite nursery. They
didn't know what it was but said I could try it. It's become a real
favorite over the last few years as it tolerates drought. My problem is
I can't find pictures of it anywhere and neither they or I have been
able to figure out what it is.
.
I think it's a perennial, mustard as the flowers have four, white petals
and the fruit looks like the small mustard fruit. The leaf color is a
grey-green and edged with off-white. The leaves are about 1" long,
toothed, ending in a point and clasp the stem. The plant is a bunch of
small rosettes spreading out in clump fashion on prostrate stems
(ground-cover like).
I hope this description is clear enough to trigger a bell. If anyone has
any clues I'd love to know. If you know where there might be a
photograph all the better. If you want to examine a leaf - I could press
a couple and mail it to you.
Many thanks,
Kris in northern CA
PS Ginny, I received your Aconite while I was away and will send you
some of this or something else if you prefer.
