>>I'd like to place a question out for the list: Where do you have your best
luck in growing C. flexuosa 'Blue Panda' or 'China Blue'?
I've made 2 attempts to grow these and while they seem to grow OK during
the growing season, I've always lost them over the winter. Do they need
any particular protection? I'm in Milwaukee, Zone 5.<<
I can't get them to overwinter in Zone 6, either. And I have tried them in a
very protected spot. They are supposed to be hardy so I suppose the problem
is winter moisture. They were really great while they lasted, though. Maybe
these belong on that list of things that are worth replacing every year.
Coryladis lutea, which has yellow flowers does survive the winters here. It
is quite nice, too. --Janis
