Vivien has hit on my favorite half-hardy perennial. Here in Zone 6a
Cincinnati it does not live over but I buy it every year. I believe it was
in bloom by late August last year and everything Vivien said is true. Mine
reached about 3' height and 2-3' in width during the season and it was
spectacular. I've grown it two different years now and am definitely a
convert.
