Last year the County Extension office in this county just outside Cincinnati
held its annual "Perennial School"--a daylong series of speakers and exhibits
with about 300 people attending. Very popular and very well done. I
remember that one of the speakers last year was talking on the theme of
planting only what does well in this area. He asked for a show of hands of
everyone who has ever grown 'Blue Panda'--it was about a third of the room.
Then he asked how many still had it. No Hands! Does that say it all?
I've tried 'Blue Panda' twice, and 'China Blue' once. Don't still have
either one. Even in damp, shady conditions.
