Unfortunately I don't know the botanical name of the spanish thyme. I do
know that it is offered in Richter's catalog with the rest of the thymes.
Everytime I buy the plants the tag simply says "Spanish Thyme" and nothing
else. Perhaps if I tell you that I read somewhere that it was related to
the coleus family, this might help. In fact, the leaves are identical in
shape to a coleus and the ivory coloration around the edges of the lime
green leaves is most like a coleus. However, the leaves and stems are very
thick like a sedum.
