A Gardener's lament!
I'm the person who whined about my failings w/ larkspur, and I have the same
problem as you with Hollyhocks -- I can grow them, but I can't get them to
self-seed and I can't get the seed on the plants I grow to make it through
the winter.
Your problem w/ larkspur, from what I understand, may be that your climate
is too warm. But that shouldn't be my reason for failure!

I have the same problems with hollyhawks as I do with larkspurs. I just
don't have any luck with them
if there is someone on the list that has a secret they are willing to
share with me I would be over joyed.
