Crocosmia

Deadheading is recommended to promote new flower growth and so that a plant
does not waste energy on producing seed.

Would it be beneficial to remove the flower stems of Crocosmia Lucifer once
the flowers have dropped - it takes so long (for me) to spread? I normally
leave the seed heads until the plant dies down naturally. I would be
grateful to know what other Lucifer growers do?
