You can buy a roll of pH test paper from some garden seed sources. I think 
I bought mine at Garden City seeds for about $6. Should do many tests.  Or 
do the pH papers sold for swimming pools span the spectrum of expected pH 
in soils? That might be another possibility. Margaret L
