Scabiosa question and burgandy flower suggestions

Happy day everyone.

It has finally cooled off here a little and thoughts are running to fall
rennovations.

I have a bed in depserate need of burgandy flowers. I am zone 6b, Oregon
(wet). Any suggestions?

Also, a friend just bought a plant labeled "scabiosa 'Ace of Spades.' It
looks like a perennial scabiosa but says "hardy annual." It is nearly a
black burgandy -- just gorgeous. The color reminds me of one of the color
variations you can get in the annual scabiosa, but this plant has full-sized
flower heads.

Anyone heard of this or know the full plant name? Have you grown it? How
hardy an annual is it? Will it reseed? All information appreciated.
