Well, some years ago I got blackish red hollyhocks to grow, and
unfortunately they are all the hollyhocks now growing in my garden; I
don't love them, because most of the time they look black and not very
interesting, but when the sun is behind them, you can see the red color;
also, I grew sunflowers that were called "claret" in the book, and they
are wonderful plants now, very big, very profuse with flowers, and very
dark brown/red.
Neither are really burgundy, however.
