Thanks, Karen. I think it is more an issue of "their personal secret" than anything else, which is fine.
Can you keep all your garden info in one notebook? I find that helpful. The other things I started doing several years ago, and I realize I am a manic list-keeper:
I keep a list of plants I buy each year and for most plants and especially SIGNIFICANT plants, I just write next to the plant where I put it. Obviously things often get moved in later years, but by then I am often "in tune" enough with the plant to at least remember I *have* it and it must be somewhere....

Hi Susan,
LOL !! Congratulations on the grandbaby. Maybe they're sort of doing it on purpose because they know how you are about names (lovingly, though - not out of spite, of course) - one of those "let's drive Mom nuts" kind of things. <vbg>
I prefer to know the names of my plants, too. Right now I have the problem of the label bandit and faded labels, so don't know the names of alot of plants right now. I have a map, just have to figure out what I did with it. Need to find it soon, because in September all the beds out
front, except one, will be dug up and redone. Getting very tired of all the groundcover I put in when I started gardening (on a shoestring budget) 5 years ago. It will also make room for the 20+ hostas and a few ferns sitting along the edge of the driveway awaiting a home.
