RE: late blooming daylilies

Cheryl, I would be very interested in seeing the names of some of your late
blooming daylilies - especially ones that will go into October. My favorites
(still blooming) are 'Strutters Ball' (thank you Claire for that suggestion
a couple of years back), 'Sunday Gloves' ( fragrant, ivory w/pale green eye,
ruffled edge) and a super duo, new for me this year, 'Canadian Border
Patrol' (ivory w/purple eye & picotee) and 'Welchkins' (mini, grape jelly
color) blooming together. I wonder why Canadian Border Patrol isn't red?
Hmmm...must be the Canadian Mounties I'm thinking of.

Ah, the August let down.... I feel it too.
My cures....
1. Rudbeckia maxima is great - 7 feet tall, yellow flowers, huge cones
2. I have been collecting late season daylilies for ages so I still
have tons of color from those. I have some that will bloom into
October.
3. Sedums, the spectabile types, are just coming into season now.
4. Hostas
5. Blackberry Lily (don't know the Latin) is just starting to flower.
6. Burnets are starting too

Who's next, I'll always add more plants to the garden.
