RE: depth of plantings now what to plant!

Thanks for all the thoughts about my plants being buried! I have moved
them to a proper elevation. Unfortunately, it was much hotter than
predicted.. and never saw the rain :( Might have done more harm than
good.. time will tell.

So now I need an idea of what to plant in a four ft wide area, should
drain well, full sun, would like to have it blooming in July. It also
needs to be above the hibiscus, which at that time will not be blooming
yet here. The hibiscuses are red and white varieties of southern
belle... large ones.

Thoughts?
