There is no evidence that it can be passed on to people, Its been around out 
west for a while and in Wisconsin-were they have done culling to control the 
spread in the local deer population.

Its not the same problem as in Europe, but none the less your not going to 
get me to eat deer brains ( as if I ever would have in the past).
