I was going to write and suggest that they were miss labeled. As a novice to perennials, I bought something cute labeled "penta". It was supposed to be an annual. It grew next year and got woody. It lasted for years, never grew taller than 2 feet tall, woody and the cutest little pink flowers. It eventually died because we kept moving it. I finally found out what it was... in the July/Aug 2005 issue of American Gardener (AHS pub) was apicture of my plant! It was Lagerstroemia 'Chicksaw' a miniature crape myrtle!
I'm sorry I killed it. It was a great bush.
