Re: Help on groundcovers - marrubium

Welcome to the list -

I don't know if this helps but - I grow Marrubium vulgare which is known as
white horehound. It grows to about 40 cm with whitish soft velvety leaves
and an aromatic scent - it is a valuable medicinal herb used in cough
mixtures. Mine enjoys dry sunny conditions and is very hardy here in North
Wales. (Sorry we don't equate to any of the US zones :- occassional frosts
and snow with lots of wet in between, winter lowest temp, I would guess
is -10C and warm, not hot, summers)
I can't find any mention of M. rotunditfolium in any of my books (though one
herb book mentions there are 30 different species in the genus Marrubium,
but only describes one!).
