Re: August is a hard month

Hi, Duncan and all,

I am actually finding that my August border is the most flower-filled of
the summer (well, not counting the tulips in the spring)...but I have
quite a bit going on right now...

Now blooming are hydrangea, beautiful deep purple monkshood, purple
coneflowers, gooseneck loosestrife, turtlehead, phlox, echinops, big
blue (and white) lobelia, coreopsis, and a groundcovering astilbe
.....soon to come will be the obedient plant and a different turtlehead,
some gentian, and cimicifuga. There is also a mystery plant that looks
like it is about to bloom, so I hope I recognize it when it does.
Enjoy!

      Marilyn
