The gentleman who installed the septic system for our home (and also
happens to be a gardener) told me that flowers, etc. would be fine, but
absolutely NO trees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My neighbor told me yesterday (retired Navy Const. Batallion Mstr.
Cheif) told me that the watering of the beds on the drain field cause
that particular stretch of the drainfield to not drain as well as the
other areas due to watering the beds, but that it was absolutely no
problem. Of course it makes sense that wet ground wouldn't absorb as
much water as dry... but he followed up what the other man stated about
the flowers - no problem, just don't plant any trees!
