Martha,
I admire your diligence when you paint leaves with the poison! With all of
the grass I have growing right in the middle of my perennials, it would
take me all day! I usually hand-weed with the burning sun on my back and
my rear end in the air...good thing my garden is in my back yard.
When the grass dies, won't you end up with a dead-looking mass in the
middle of your perennial clump? How long does it take before the stuff
works? How do you remove the dead grass without harming the perennial?
Does it ever come back?
And my burning question is why do all of the UGLY weeds seed in perennial
beds? Why can't I have something pretty seed by chance in my beds, like
goldenrod, chicory, or queen anne's lace?
