I did the same thing, planted in wrong spot. I too, thought there was shade
all day, but forgot my husband took a dead limb off the maple, so while it is
nice and shady in the morning, it also gets a full blast of sun. I am going
to try and keep it going until the weather cools down a bit and we get some
rain! The ground is still rock hard. The place where I want to plant it is
my tiny shade garden and could very well move it now, but I am going to be
doing so much rearranging of my beds I would probably have to dig it up again.
Don't want to traumatize it to much!
Mine isn't in as much rough shape as yours so perhaps you had better dig yours
up now and replant it. You won't know until next year what the real results
will be.
