Hi Rachel:
Well, I'm certainly no dahlia expert, but
hopefully this can help:
should I transplant the remaining 5 dinnerplate
ones, that
are still in the pots, looking great but not
blooming? Or leave
them alone and wait?
Do they look pot-bound or root bound? I'd
probably leave them alone if they look fine, at
this point of the year they may not recover
from transplanting enough to bloom.
You could try taking them out of the pot,
leaving as much soil around them as possible,
putting them in the ground and watering very
faithful.
Its actually a 50-50 proposition for
transplanting or leaving, it could go either way
and will depend on the weather and how early
it turns cold here. It may be a loss for flowers
this year, but you'll have them for next year.
Sorry I couldn't be more definitive.
