Hi all,
Do any know if rudbekia hirta INDIAN SUMMER is an annual or a perennial?
I have seen it listed as both in separate catalogs. It is the most amazing
new plant in my garden this summer. I started it from seed and it has
bloomed prolifically--huge deep yellow, brown centered black eyed susans.
The blooms last forever....I have some that have just stayed beautifully on
the plant for at least 2 months now. Allan Armitage says that it reseeds
itself in his garden, zone 8. I am in 7b...some years, depending on the
weather, we are 8. I am hoping for a great comeback next summer!! Does
anyone else grow this marvelous plant?
